5.17.23 – The Obelisk was covered by thousands of plastic bags in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires to celebrate the World Recycling Day on May 17, plastic bags with waste covering a part of Buenos Aires’s symbol. A fulfilment of the international artistic collective “Luz Interruptus”; with music, lights and the participation of recycling cooperatives, officials and the general public staged the work “El plástico con el que vivimos”. The presence of the local government could be observed from the Minister of the Environment Clara Muzzio, as well as the general coordinator Matías Lescano of El Ceibo RSU, which is one of the pioneering recycling organizations in Argentina, who contributed material for this important presentation in favor of caring for our environment.
